Regional Rescue Services Centres |
|
Rescue services are divided into four Regional Rescue Centres – Northern, Southern, Western, and Eastern. The main tasks of the Regional Rescue Centres are:
● Rescue works (including fire fighting)
● Fire safety supervision
● Crisis management
● Emergency prevention
The Regional Rescue Centres coordinate the work of professional rescue brigades. When necessary, they are assisted by volunteer fire units, working under contract with the Regional Rescue Services Centres. The Regional Rescue Services Centres are financed and equipped through the Estonian Rescue Board.
